Santa Fe's Artistic Streak

Santa Fe's Artistic Streak

November 01, 2019

November is the month for holiday shopping, and what better opportunity than your trip to Santa Fe to pick up one-of-a-kind items to delight your loved ones? Santa Fe has a well-known artistic streak, so you can source very original gifts here.

On November 1, Santa Fe’s Artists in Residence program launches. Witness the creation process of local artists in participating galleries. Pick up jewelry, paintings, or pottery directly from the maker through the end of February.

On the weekend of November 15-17, the country’s largest and oldest recycled art market returns. Recycle Santa Fe presents pieces created from repurposed beads, gold, silver, copper, mineral specimens, petrified wood, tin cans, vinyl records, fabrics, wire, magazines, and more. The epitome of turning trash into treasure, this alchemical art market will also feature a “Trash Fashion” costume contest.

Finally, you can still catch the end of the Santa Fe Artist Market’s 10th season. Just minutes from Sage Inn at the Santa Fe Railyard, peruse pottery, sculpture, textiles, furniture, and more every Saturday morning (8 am-2 pm) through December.
