Santa Fe Plaza Shopping
Santa Fe is known for incredible art, beautiful jewelry and unique Southwestern clothing. All of which can be found on the Santa Fe Plaza, just a short walk from the Sage Inn.
Art
- Expect to find many Southwestern, contemporary and traditional galleries selling paintings, photography, sculptures and artisan crafts along the main streets that branch off of the center plaza. Many of the arcade buildings have galleries and shops tucked inside or on upper levels.
- Santa Fe museums have wonderful gift shops filled with prints and original work.
Jewelry
- While many jewelry stores surround the plaza, the most famous spot to purchase silver or turquoise is in front of Palace of Governors where Native Americans sell their wares spread on the sidewalk. Anyone selling at the Palace is Native American, and either they or a member of their family made the goods.
Southwestern Clothing
- Simply Santa Fe sells beautiful women’s clothing with Southwestern inspired designs.
- Looking for custom cowboy boots? Back at the Ranch, located just 2 blocks off the plaza on East Marcy Street is self described as the largest custom cowboy boot store in the world.
Home Goods
- American Country Collection and Simply Santa Fe, both directly on the plaza, offer interesting home furniture and accessories.
- Cooking supplies and local ingredients can be purchased at the Santa Fe School of Cooking.
Many stores will help you make arrangements to ship items home for you. Hotel guests of the Sage Inn may ask the front desk for a detailed shopping map of the plaza.
