El Rancho de las Golondrinas
Santa Fe hotel guests are given the unique chance to explore Spanish Colonial New Mexico life at El Rancho de las Golondrinas, a living history museum. The museum is located on 200 acres in a rural farming valley just south of Santa Fe.
Opened as a museum in 1972, the original colonial buildings on the site date from the early 18th century. Historic buildings from other parts of northern New Mexico have been reconstructed at Las Golondrinas to create a rich community and to offer a unique perspective on the life and culture of this important settlement period. Villagers and volunteers dressed in period clothing, greet visitors at various exhibits throughout the museum and show how life was lived in early New Mexico.
Special festivals and theme weekends offer visitors an in-depth look into the celebrations, music, dance and many other aspects of life in the period when this part of the United States was ruled by Spain and Mexico.
Admission Rates for Self-Guided Tours:
Adults: $5.00
Children (ages 5-12): $2.00
Seniors (62+), teens (ages 13-18), military personnel: $4.00

Directions
Las Golondrinas is approximately a 15 minute car ride from the Sage Inn. Guests of the Sage Inn should follow Guadalupe Street to the NM 599 (Santa Fe Bypass) to West Frontage Road. Then, take a right on Los Pinos Road and follow for 3.2 miles to the Museum.
