Bradbury Science Museum

Bradbury Science Museum is located in Los Alamos, about an hour from Santa Fe Sage Inn. This is a unique place to gain knowledge of the history of the Manhattan Project, look at photos, documents and objects that illustrate life in Los Alamos during the intense years when international team of scientists raced to build the Atomic bomb.

Most of Bradbury Science Museum visitors begin their visit in the History Gallery to learn how Los Alamos National Laboratory began. Statues of Dr. Robert Oppenheimer and General Leslie Groves, perhaps the two most famous personalities of the Manhattan Project, greet visitors as they enter the era that led to the development of the world's first atomic bomb. The Research Gallery reflects the widely varied basic and applied research that is also conducted at the Laboratory.
